The Regional IT Support Technician will work independently to simultaneously project manage several implementations for assigned airport restaurant locations in North America. Ability to develop strong professional relationships with clients about IT subject matter, as well as IT troubleshooting. Operates as the liaison directing others to support network system set up, administration, maintenance, monitoring, and deployment of third-party applications. Proactively address/mitigate technology events/incidents and increase the level of client satisfaction within the systems. May include client training/basic troubleshooting and vendor management activities.


Essential Functions:

  • Operates as the liaison directing others to support network system set up, administration, maintenance, monitoring, and deployment of third-party applications.
  • Work independently to simultaneously project manage several implementations for assigned airport restaurant locations in North America.
  • Deliver support and training to end users on IT and technology systems.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Support Project Managers with budget management, forecasting, implementation planning, training, and scheduling for project rollouts.
  • Proactively address/mitigate technology events/incidents and increase the level of client satisfaction within the systems. May include client training/basic troubleshooting and vendor management activities.
  • Prepare project scope/business requirements. Apply detailed working knowledge of products and features to support successful IT services. Has authority to recommend implementation of features and functions where appropriate.

Qualifications - Education, Experience, Skills, and Other Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree (or international equivalent).
  • Must have at least three to five years' experience working in restaurants in a management position.
  • Proven knowledge of basic IT network infrastructure policies, standards, guidelines, and best practices setting expectations for integrity, confidentiality, and accessibility of effective IT services.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and reading of construction blueprints for mock-ups of IT and POS related equipment placement and requirements.
  • Demonstrated intermediate level technical competence and experience with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Must be comfortable working in a large-scale, enterprise level digital and physical environment.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain eligibility to perform work in Canada without sponsorship, and able to travel and work 75% within the Canada and US (If required, SSP to support work authorization.)
  • Must live in or be able to relocate to area within reasonable commuting distance from Vancouver, BC or Calgary, AB.
  • Must be able to travel and work 75% within North America. (If required, SSP to support work authorization.)
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a criminal background check, and as required, meet airport security requirements (e.g., Transportation Security Administration (TSA) clearance, comprehensive Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transport Canada, etc.)
