We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join BrokerLink and work out one of our GTA, Glenmore or Halifax offices, on a Permanent (FT) Basis.

What the Role Entails:

  • Assist in the development of test plans, independently creating test plans for projects of low to medium complexity.
  • Create detailed test cases based on requirements and execute them to validate software functionality, ensuring alignment with specified needs and identifying defects.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of test plans and strategies ensuring they remain aligned with goals and industry best practices.
  • Independently execute and for smaller projects, lead all testing activities covering all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle including performance and security to ensure compliance with non-functional requirements.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of test cases, test results and other relevant quality assurance activities to support transparency and repeatability of testing processes.
  • Identify, document, and report defects encountered during testing, providing clear and concise steps to reproduce the issues, and collaborating with cross functional teams on resolutions.
  • Actively contribute to process improvement by identifying inefficiencies in testing procedures and proposing enhancements to optimize QA workflows and methodologies.

The Successful candidate will have:

  • Post-Secondary Education required; QA (ISTQB, CTFL)
  • 5-7 years of testing and quality assurance experience in an automated and/or agile environment
  • Hands-on experience with manual, automated testing (TestComplete preferred), API, SQL.
  • Programming fundamentals and proficiency in one programming language
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and framework along with familiarity with other relevant testing tools.
  • White box, black box testing, performance, and security testing.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Results-driven, highly motivated, collaborative team player.
  • Good communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities successfully.
  • Property and Casualty insurance background is considered an asset.
