The Network Analyst has end to end responsibility for configuring, maintaining and ensuring a stable and secure operation of LAO's data, voice and wireless network. The Network Analyst executes, maintains, and performs upgrade activities on LAO network infrastructure with minimal disruptions to the business, supports resolution of network failures and security attacks, and monitors and configures network security systems.

Reporting to: Manager, Enterprise Infrastructure Planning and Operations

• Design, install, configure, upgrade, monitor and maintain existing corporate data and VoIP network infrastructure, both wired and wireless
• Monitor network health, performance and anomalies, investigate network problems, and escalate to vendors
• Provision mobile devices (smart phones and tablets) using MDM software
• Configure and manage VoIP phone systems, desktop phones and softphones
• Handle all network and phone related issues escalated through IT Service Desk team
• Configure and monitor network security systems, including but not limited to IPS, VPN, SIEM, and NAC, Identity & Access Management systems to protect the LAO network from malicious activities and recover from security compromise
• Assist with internal and external network vulnerability scanning and penetration testing to ensure that LAO systems are appropriately protected
• On-call and work outside of regular business hours as needed
• Travel to Legal Aid remote offices as required.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing / switching, QoS, VoIP, WLAN, Firewalls, VPN (IPsec and SSL)
• Extensive hands-on experiences with Juniper and/or Cisco network device configuration
• Knowledge of and familiarity with intrusion detection/prevention systems
• Strong face-to-face and telephone customer service/interpersonal skills including effectively and efficiently responding to end user requests
• Analytical problem solving and trouble-shooting skills including the ability to translate requests in to network and telecommunication requirements; information gathering including research, interpretation and analysis (i.e. client and system requirements, description of problems, etc.);
• Knowledge and experience required in the areas of security assessment and vulnerability scanning, risk based threat analysis, and security mitigation techniques
• Demonstrated experience with common penetration testing and vulnerability assessment tools
• At least one of the following certifications: CCNP, JNCIP-ENT, JNCIP-SEC
