We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager, Reporting and Data Analytics to join our team. As a Manager, Reporting and Data Analytics, you will contribute to the overall success of the Global Technology Enterprise Platform's (GTEP) Strategic Portfolio Office - Resource Management team globally, by supporting the Senior Manager, Resource Management on all headcount and resourcing activities for projects and initiatives across the GTEP group, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Major responsibilities include providing support and governance in the management and reporting of FTEs / contractors, such as headcount and financial analysis, organizational structure reviews, resource lifecycle management, and more.


Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Manage resource inquiries from intake, validation and execution through internal processes.
  • Analyze headcount, financial, and organizational structure data to proactively identify and address anomalies, by working closely with our business partners to align on overall requirements and accountabilities.
  • Support the Senior Manager, Resource Management with the bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly consolidation, reporting and reconciliation of resourcing data, using various tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc..
  • Direct collaboration with our financial partners to ensure actuals and forecasts are reconciled to accurately represent our spend against the headcount.
  • Contribute to process improvements and optimization by working with the team to identify opportunities for change.
  • Act as a valuable partner to our internal stakeholders and clients by providing best-in-class customer service.
  • Provide cross-training to fellow employees and foster a continuous learning mindset.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decision-making.
  • Creates an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

  • Lead and drive a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A post-secondary education in a relevant area or equivalent experience required
  • Customer-focused ability to work in a fast-paced environment with volumes dictated by customer needs
  • Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively deliver a positive employee experience
  • Advanced knowledge of various Microsoft tools (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Open and receptive to feedback, with a degree of flexibility/adaptability to change
  • Ability to manage own time effectively, along with ability to prioritize and organize incoming work
  • Experience in HR, Resource Management and/or Financial Analysis an asset
  • Appetite to dive deeper into data and attention to detail an asset


Nice To Have:

  • FI/Banking experience
  • Experience working with contract management tools (Ariba/CMS and Fieldglass preferred)
  • Previous Scotiabank experience
  • Working experience with external vendors
  • Experience with invoicing
  • Spanish speaking
