This role reports to the Senior Manager, Migration Lead, supporting the Cloud Acceleration Program (CAP), one of Scotiabank's top priorities. This program has enterprise-wide impact and requires effective communications, financial management, strategic planning, and project management and execution.
The Manager, Migration & Decommissioning Project Control Officer (PCO), plays a critical role and has accountability for the management and oversight of the Migration and Decommissioning projects throughout their lifecycles, taking an active role in all aspects of the process. They are responsible for ensuring the projects stay on track regarding budgets and timelines, act as a liaison to coordinate schedules and tasks for internal teams, and gather insights, approvals, and other stakeholder contributions. They are accountable for tracking benefit realization for both the Migration and Decommissioning workstreams throughout the lifecycle of the program. This role ensures business strategies, plans, and initiatives are supported in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Assists the Sr. Manager, Decommissioning Lead and the Sr. Manager, Migration Lead in developing project documents such as budgets, project schedules, scope statements, risks, and issues.
Manages the risks, issues and actions and tracks them to meet expected outcomes and timelines, building mitigation plans as the program evolves for both the Decommissioning and Migration workstreams.
Monitors project progress and creates status reports for project managers and stakeholders.
Manages, updates, and tracks project change requests.
Schedules stakeholder meetings and facilitates communication between the program manager and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
Documents and follows-up on meeting actions and decisions.
Develops reports and reviews for key performance indicators, analysis of data/reports, and investigation of any issues found.
Collaborates with the project teams and stakeholders throughout the program life cycle.
Helps project managers monitor project progress and team members' performance and provide updates to project stakeholders.
Contributes to change strategy design, documentation, and delivery by supporting, gathering and coordinating.
Drives cross-team collaboration to help project team members complete project tasks and produce deliverables.
Ensures projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each area.
Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent work experience.
Exceptional project management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Experience managing technology projects and budgets.
Excellent communication and coordination skills, with a proven track record in managing relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors.
Highly motivated individual driven to deliver in alignment with the organizations mandate and goals.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
