What is the opportunity?
As a Lead Business Analyst/Consultant, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of requirements delivery including planning, elicitation, analysis, and documentation on large complex sized projects. You will lead consulting engagements focused on industry regulations and business process improvement and provide guidance and mentoring to a small team of business analysts. The role requires someone who can demonstrate expert knowledge and ability and can apply the competency in new or complex situations, manage and guide other professionals for changes to Business Areas and Technology.

What will you do?

  • Lead consulting engagements focused on industry regulations and business process improvement and develop plans and estimates for completion of requirements

  • Lead collaborative sessions with diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery, consensus and to facilitate decision-making in line with business goals and objectives

  • Advanced knowledge and proven experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation and proven experience with requirements elicitation techniques.

  • Develop and prepare comprehensive requirement specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, and other documentation for review applying various communication techniques and lead requirements walkthrough and sign off sessions

  • Support: QA in testing activities, Design and Development activities by providing requirements clarifications, Functional Support activities and the development of the end-user documentation and training

  • Provide guidance, feedback, coaching, and mentoring to build the capabilities of assigned business analyst team

What you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • 7+ years' experience as a Senior Business Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects within financial services

  • 10+ years of Financial Services Industry experience, preferably with custody, corporate security services, investment councilor services or trade management

  • Solid understanding of Custody, AML , Security and Foreign Exchange Trading and Settlements

  • Proven experience with project delivery methodologies - Iterative Waterfall and Agile

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in requirements planning, elicitation and prioritization

  • A desire to constantly learn, share your knowledge, and educate/mentor others

  • People Management experience with small teams

  • Strong communication, collaboration organizational skills, excellent time management, Advisory services, process improvements and regulatory compliance.

Nice-to-have:

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute -Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI - PBA)

  • Experience in one or more of the following business areas: SWIFT, Fund Accounting, and Securities Lending

  • Exposure to/understanding of ISO, Web based and Cloud Technology

  • Leadership, Entrepreneurial mindset, Solution-focused mindset,

  • Analytical Thinking, Design Thinking, Communication, Stakeholder Engagement, Business knowledge, Business Analysis Concepts & Technologies
