Objective:
To provide operational and technical support related to audio-visual requirements, hardware, software, office equipment maintenance, and the technology needs of the organization.
Key Deliverables:
Assist in technical maintenance, support, and hands-on training to ensure smooth daily operations.
Provide support to Friendship Centres in their technical needs.
Backup Senior IT Specialist on absent
Key Responsibilities:
Support and Setup (65%)
Assist in providing technical support and setup (including AV, hardware, software, office equipment, CCTV systems, Building Access Systems, etc.).
Help prepare user-friendly training instructions and "how-to" guides.
Support staff in the proper use of equipment.
Assist with setting up AV equipment for in-house meetings and events.
Help with new hire setups, including telephone, computer, and security card configurations.
Coordinate with OFIFC’s Managed Services Provider for IT-related requirements.
Monitor and assess staff desktop needs, both hardware and software, and escalate recommendations as needed.
Support Friendship Centres with basic troubleshooting and technical inquiries.
Equipment Maintenance (30%)
Maintain an inventory of essential IT equipment and supplies (printers, toners, AV/IT equipment, etc.).
Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on office equipment.
Track and manage rental equipment sign-in/out records.
Other (5%)
Provide backup support for maintenance tasks.
Participate in professional development and skill enhancement activities.
Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education/Work Experience:
Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
1 to 3 years of experience in a technology support role, preferably in AV and/or IT.
Basic troubleshooting skills for technical issues and ability to provide timely solutions.
General knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Fundamentals are a plus.

Technical Competencies:
Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, servers, LANs, wireless networks, and security.

Assist in managing and supporting internal infrastructure, hardware, and software applications.
Ability to document and escalate complex technical issues as needed.
Willingness to learn and assist in the development of IT policies and procedures.

Hiring Range: $58,000 - $61,480
Full Pay Range: $58,000 - $68,000
