What is the Opportunity?

GFT is seeking an experienced Scrum Master/Project Manager to join the Procurement IT team. In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work on-site 3-4 days per week. As a key leader in facilitating Agile processes, you will drive the execution of Agile methodologies, resolve impediments, manage risks, and help foster continuous project improvement. You will be responsible for organizing and facilitating key Agile events such as release planning, backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.

Success in this role will be determined by the candidate's ability to effectively prepare and guide the team to meet project objectives, deliverables, and commitments with predictability and high-quality outcomes, while driving continues improvements within the Procurement IT domain.

What will you do?

  • Drive the prioritization and successful completion of key ongoing projects and initiate new projects within the Procurement IT space to ensure team consistency.

  • Collaborate with the team to achieve release objectives that meet stakeholders' needs and expectations.

  • Track and report project status, ensuring adherence to quality standards, including managing supplier agreements and cross-project milestones within the procurement ecosystem.

  • Prepare budgets based on scope and resource needs, tracking project costs to meet financial goals.

  • Consistently report team progress, risks, and accomplishments to stakeholders at all level's

  • Motivate coach, and mentor teams, fostering continuous improvement and encouraging the adoption of Agile best practices and NextGen technologies (Cloud, API reusability, DevOps, and automation) within the Procurement IT space.

  • Facilitate solution design discussions, addressing features and issues with technical depth related to procurement systems.

  • Oversee multiple Agile and IT projects, providing status updates, product demos, and retrospectives.

  • Remove impediments and proactively manage dependencies to deliver results.

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, identifying early risks and solutions.

  • Manage project financials and staffing levels to ensure efficient delivery, tracking value to support decision-making.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., Vendors, RBC IT, Business teams) in the procurement and technology integration process.

  • Build and present reports and insights for senior management.

  • Establish strong working relationships across business and technical units to build influence and impact with key stakeholders.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Agile Project Management and/or Senior Scrum Master roles, with expertise in both waterfall and Agile methodologies.

  • Certified Scrum Master and Coach with proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.

  • Advanced knowledge of Agile Project Management workflows, including sprint backlogs, milestones, release burndowns, and work-back schedules.

  • Agile experience fostering team improvements through standard agile processes and ceremonies

  • Strong understanding of change and risk management, SDLC, and Agile ceremonies

  • Proven ability to manage high-visibility projects with strong executive presence and excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

  • A strategic thinker with the ability to connect the dots and see the big picture.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong business communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude with a sense of urgency and flexibility.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Technology, or Financial Services.

  • Experience in managing procurement IT or related systems integration projects is an asset.
