The IT Project Manager is responsible for organizing, coordinating IT projects and system services related initiatives across the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure, and will be required to have hands-on approach and executing administrative support tasks within the project plan.
Common project tasks include setting up and organizing project meetings, preparing agenda and minutes, coordinating tasks, engaging stakeholders, establishing milestones, monitoring progress, summarizing and reporting the project status through weekly project reporting or agree frequency.
The IT project manager will work closely and support the Lead, IT Programs, Products and Project delivery services based on assigned product & services area.

Reporting to: Manager, IT Programs, Products and Project Delivery Services
• Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, budgets and related project expenditures
• Developing work breakdown structures utilizing MS Visio and detailed project plans using MS Project plan
• Create detailed project management plan as per the IT framework identified deliverables using MS Project plan for fulfilling each goal and objective
• Organizing, attending and participating in project meetings
• Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
• Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings using Power Point
• Ensuring project deadlines are met
• Determining project changes, and maintaining change logs and completing change requests
• Providing administrative support as needed
• Undertaking project tasks as required
• In consultation with the Manager and Lead, determine the best project delivery approach strategies, based on the IT PMO standard delivery methodologies: waterfall, incremental, iterative or agile
• Ensuring projects adhere to IT Programs, Products and Project Delivery frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
• Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable
• Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members
• University Degree in Information Technology or Business Administration, or a minimum of 5 years equivalent experience
• Five to seven years of experience in Information Technology project management including proven technical aptitude with client desktop technologies, application development and/or Infrastructure (networking and systems) and on application or software side project delivery experience in Microsoft, Oracle and opensource technologies and products
• Experience in managing complex enterprise-wide system implementations including Oracle PeopleSoft ERP Projects.
• Experience and\or knowledge with all aspects of infrastructure – ISPs, networks, servers, switches, vmware, security monitoring and tools, IT monitoring tools, telephony
• Experience delivering projects using either predictive, iterative and incremental lifecycles
• Proven experience with managing a project budget, including purchasing practices thorough RFS, RFQ, RFP process
• Proven experience with mass roll-outs and implementations within an organization and across numerous diverse
• Considerable ability to give clear and consistent instructions to team members
• Project experience working in an agile environment with cross-functional teams
• Strong sense of customer service
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent knowledge of modern Project Management principles and methodologies
• Extensive knowledge of PMI PMBOK and PMP certification is an asset
• Extensive working knowledge of MS Visio, MS Project plan, Power Point as well as MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
