Reporting to the Manager- Application Portfolio, this position is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the IT product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing IT product and client requirements, defining the IT product vision, working closely with clients to establish a strong understanding of business/client goals and employing research/empirical methods to identify enterprise-size IT products/strategies that address client needs. You will analyze competing products, identifies & implements a particular product vision and ensures a state of good repair for the implemented product. You will ensure that the product supports the TTC's overall strategy and goals.
This job requires a unique mix of skills (i.e. creativity, client engagement, strong time management and prioritization, excellent communication) and at the same time required to have sufficient technical knowledge to engage effectively with IT product teams.
You will establish and maintain relationships with the key business and technology stakeholders, determine near and long-term business needs; perform client research to develop product strategy and roadmaps; perform competitive analysis on IT product/solution alternatives; facilitate and drive alignment among key stakeholders to make frequent and dynamic prioritization decisions; manage the IT product budget established in consultation with business sponsors and product-line management; execute the product lifecycle, including product and market research, external product-user analysis, and product launch; continually monitor and refine the IT product throughout its life cycle.
You will develop and enforce State-Of-Good Repair plans to ensure the IT product is never out of vendor support and assess partnerships and licensing opportunities; lead business requirements gathering sessions, vendor discussions, product demonstrations and evaluations; analyze IT product performance and redesign it as required; design, develop and manage activities from product definition & planning to production and release; manage prioritization and trade-offs between client experience, business impact, performance, and post-launch support; working cross-functionally with strategy, design, and technology teams to ensure timely and quality release of product/ enhancements.
