We are looking for an experienced IT professional to Join us at COSTI Immigrant Services. As we enhance service delivery, streamline processes, and safeguard our systems and data, we're seeking passionate individuals to be part of our dedicated team.

As the IT Manager at COSTI Immigrant Services, you'll be at the forefront of our efforts. Reporting directly to the Director of IT, you'll lead and coordinate all IT-related activities, ensuring the seamless daily operation of our technology infrastructure while providing strategic guidance to achieve our organizational goals.

DUTIES

  • Lead, manage, and provide support for multiple IT projects, including but not limited to cloud migrations, security enhancements, system administration, and technical support, ensuring alignment with internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Additionally, troubleshoot any issues that arise throughout the project lifecycle to maintain smooth operations and timely delivery.
  • Recruit, train, coach, guide, and mentor IT staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement to ensure the highest level of performance and expertise. Effectively communicate job expectations, conduct performance appraisals, and oversee the professional development of systems administrators, programmers, and technicians, helping them grow into a skilled and effective team.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive IT strategies and policies, focusing on information security, access controls, standards, and best practices aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure the availability of data backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity measures, conducting regular testing and optimization to minimize downtime and risk.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with business objectives, encompassing information security policies, access controls, standards, procedures, and best practices, with a focus on seamless employee onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and software licenses, ensuring compliance and maximizing value across various domains such as cloud platforms, telecommunication companies, and ERP partners.
  • Oversee vendor performance, monitoring adherence to contractual obligations and proactively addressing any issues to maintain service quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct routine system audits, risk assessments, and security evaluations, identifying and addressing vulnerabilities to maintain compliance with company and legal guidelines.
  • Track and maintain inventory of all hardware and software, documenting internal processes, problems, resolutions, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Design, develop, document, and implement IT/security policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain proficiency in emerging technologies, regulatory requirements, IT security standards and threats and industry best practices, providing guidance and recommendations for strategic IT investments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 7 years of proven experience as an IT Manager in a medium to large enterprise, demonstrating a track record of successful project management and team leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of technical management, computer science, digital security, cloud computing, network infrastructure, systems administration, and enterprise software applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and manage a diverse team of IT professionals, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer science, and/or business, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Expertise in IT best practices, policies, and regulations. Comprehensive understanding of application development and software development life-cycle concepts, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning in IT initiatives.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience with ERP software, BI reporting, and analytics is a plus.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a proven track record in organization, planning, time management, and prioritization, ensuring the successful execution of multiple IT projects.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making, and analytical abilities, enabling the identification and resolution of complex technical issues and challenges.

LOCATION:            760 College St. Toronto, working remote 3 days per week but must be flexible if needed

START DATE:        January 6, 2025

SALARY RANGE:  $112,526 to $118,985 per annum plus benefits.
