Zurich Canada is currently looking for a IT Information Security Analyst to identify and align business and technical security requirements, design security controls and test their effectiveness ensuring the product implemented addresses both business and security needs.

Reporting to the Technology Services Manager, you will conduct security assessments, manage incident response, and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.

What you will do -


· The primary resource to complete, manage and follow up on third-party security assessments for Zurich Canada

• Participate in supplier assurance management and identifies gaps in services provided leading to the identification of areas for improvement.

• Provide support for security response processes including vulnerability management, incident response and forensics leading to effective risk reduction.

• Support partnership with local stakeholders (e.g. IT functions, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and business leaders) to align IT security strategies.

• Provide consultancy on project and services to support mitigation of risks, and controls implementation leading to effective risk management.

• Apply and support IT security, risk and compliance technologies leading to higher adoption rates.

• Provide guidance on relevant group policies and standards such as Zurich Risk Policy, and Group Operations & Technology Bluebook resulting in compliance to Group minimum standards.

• Support security awareness campaigns raising engagement with end users in alignment with local requirements.

• Carries out control assurance for IT service providers ensuring control implementation.

• Provide consultancy on security architecture and product standards ensuring business meets the minimum security standard.

• Recognize legal, regulatory and ethical requirements within own area of responsibility and applies adoption of requirements, ensuring minimum baseline compliance.

• Provide technical expertise on aspects of the organization´s IT security to internal customers, advise them of appropriate actions to fulfill procedural and regulatory requirements or solve immediate problems.

• Undertake investigations and inspections of IT data, processes, practices and incidents in accordance with established procedure to identify potential or actual compliance issues and recommend appropriate action.

• Business Travel, as required

• Extended Hours during Peak Periods/Shift Work/Holiday Work, as required

• Regular Predictable Attendance

• Visibility in the Office, as required

What you bring to the table-

Job Qualifications


Required:


• Bachelors degree and 4 or more years of experience in the information technology area related to Security.


OR


• Zurich Cybersecurity Technician Apprentice, including Associate Degree and 4 or more years experience in the information technology area related to Security.


OR


• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years experience in the information technology area.


AND


· Technical Skills: Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, security technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, etc.), and security protocols.

· Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze security logs, identify patterns, and assess risks.

· Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot security issues and develop effective solutions.

· Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

· Proficient in MS Office


Preferred:

• Information Security and Cyber Security experience. Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CCNA Security) can enhance career prospects.

• Experience with Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.

• Strong analytical skills

• Customer service experience

• French language skills are required (for candidates applying to the Montreal office location)

• Verbal and written proficiency in the English language is required in order to facilitate communication with internal and external key stakeholders located outside of Quebec. (for candidates applying to the Montreal office location)
