The engineering team at Vital is seeking a passionate, and creative Frontend Engineer to lead the development of frontend applications & internal tools for Vital's flagship device - the VitalOne. What you'll do: Lead front end development efforts to ensure we meet our goals around quality and timely delivery; Contribute at all stages of design and prototyping: initial concept development, rapid and iterative design and testing efforts, development of engineering prototypes and demonstration to customers; Drive rapid design, development, integration, and testing of UI components; Create and manage automated test suites for the front ends you create, and guide and assist with our manual verification efforts; Support sustainable engineering function for a highly complex medical device. What you'll need: 5-7 years of experience in frontend software design and product development with success in shipping elegant and performant apps Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one JavaScript framework like Vue, React, or Angular; Proficiency in TypeScript; Direct hands-on experience with Figma and other design tools; Proficiency with Git; Prior experience with HTTP-based APIs and code-generation. Bonus points for: Past success launching healthcare apps or medical devices, especially in the field of in-vitro diagnostics; Experience with hardware products or tablet focussed applications; Experience with or knowledge of functional programming and compile-time safety; Experience shipping front ends built in Vue.js; Experience with or knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger or other code-generation tools; Experience with or knowledge of NixOS; Familiarity with quality and safety guidelines based on FDA and ISO related Quality and Safety Standards and Practices; Appreciation of puns!
