This Residential Financial Business Analyst role is based in QuadReal's corporate office in Toronto, ON, and will be an important member of the Residential Finance Team.
The Financial Analyst, Residential is a motivated, high energy, problem solver well versed in Excel and other software solutions. Working directly with the Finance Manager to ensure consistent processing of transactions across the Residential Team, maintain all finance data integrations, run data models, reconcile multiple data points across multiple systems, provide reporting for internal and external users and help coordinate the budget & forecast process. Based on candidates' experience and knowledge, this role could be a senior level position.
Responsibilities:
- Working with accounting team for month end tasks including preparing tax refund reports, Quarter DPS reconciliations and monthly property management fee payments and reconciliations.
- Responsible for Residential Workday process including credit card payment, workday expenses report entries and outstanding items reconciliation.
- Work with third party property management team to maintain Yardi trial balance accurate and consistent.
- Maintain and tracking sold properties TB and working papers.
- Work with controller to prepare forecast and budgeting templates and assist operation and accounting teams during forecast and budgeting process.
- Maintain finance templates and data entry to support finance deliverables including Mortgages, Budgeting, cash flow reports, Above Guideline Increases etc.
- Maintain and distribute up-to-date standard and frequently used reports and create ad hoc and custom reports and dashboards in response to business needs.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance & Accounting, or a related discipline. Holding or working toward an MBA/CFA/CPA or relevant professional designation is considered an asset.
- Displays strong aptitude and experience working with technology in a finance environment. Specifically is a person who is proficient with accounting/financial systems, ERP, analytical tools, Power BI tools, MS Office applications. Highly beneficial if have prior experience with Yardi.
- 3+ years of related experience in FP&A, Data Analytics, Corporate Finance, Operational Accounting is an asset.
- Ability to handle multiple demands, projects and competing priorities while being adaptable to constant changes, self-motivated and flexible.
- Able to grasp new concepts quickly and adapt processes and techniques to meet business needs.
- Able to work independently and to collaborate with team members to meet and exceed day to day objectives.
- Effective communication, written and verbal with both technical and non-technical audiences,
