We're looking for someone comfortable with diving through the entire stack to solve problems and keen enough to learn whatever is necessary to do so. We're also a small and close-knit team so beyond just engineering, having an interest in the rest of the company and a collaborative mindset is a must.

Your Day to Day

Technical Leadership & Full Stack Development
  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, ensuring high-quality development and technical excellence.
  • Contribute to backend development using Python and the Django framework.
  • Guide the team in building and optimizing REST API endpoints for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Oversee the development of new web applications with React and Redux, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Review and refine technical designs in Figma before implementation.
  • Drive the deployment process to AWS, leveraging and improving CI/CD pipelines.
  • Enforce coding standards, best practices, and robust automated testing strategies.
  • Maintain and improve technical documentation across the engineering team.
Product & Engineering Innovation
  • Work closely with Product, Customer Success, and key stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals.
  • Ensure engineering solutions effectively address customer needs by integrating feedback from customers and internal teams.
  • Drive the adoption of new technologies and frameworks to improve system efficiency, security, and scalability.
  • Lead architecture discussions, experiments, and technical evaluations to improve system performance and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with marketing and account management teams to understand customer pain points and refine product strategy.
  • Act as a key technical representative, maintaining relationships with strategic and technical partners.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong experience with backend development using Python/Django or a similar framework.
  • Proficiency in frontend development using React/Redux or similar frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Deep understanding of REST API design, development, and third-party integrations.
  • Experience with databases (SQL & ORMs) and writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Strong experience with Git and version control workflows.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing hands-on technical work with team management.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience mentoring engineers and fostering a collaborative team culture.

  • Experience with Figma and UI/UX collaboration.
  • Prior experience leading development teams in a high-growth startup or SaaS environment.
  • Strong background in scalable architecture and performance optimization.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML technologies into web applications.
