What is the opportunity?

In this role, the successful candidate would be responsible for leading and managing all global identity and access management (IAM) inquiries from internal and external audit, regulators and 2nd line of defense (2LOD), as they relate to IAM standards, processes, procedures, and controls. This role will consult and support the strategic governance of IAM controls covering all aspects of IAM, in alignment with RBC documented best practices and control landscape.

What will you do?

  • Represent the overall IAM team in interactions with regulators, internal and external auditors and 2nd line of defense, in collaboration with our IAM governance team.
  • Act as consultancy services for all IAM related Audit, Regulatory, GRM and third-party requests for evidence.
  • Facilitates evidence gathering in relation to IAM related Audit, Regulatory, GRM and third-party requests.
  • Analyze and form opinions on all evidence gathered from requests to provide guidance and support to operational, support and project teams as to how to address follow up questions and potential issues with audit and regulatory inquiries and findings.
  • Monitors compliance of IAM services with policies and standards, including IAM metrics (KPI's and KRI's)
  • Manage metrics and supplementary documentation related to IAM risk and audit issues.
  • Provide challenge on IAM process models and procedures for alignment to RBC standards.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Experience in areas of audit, IT risk and controls management
  • Previous leadership role in identity and access management (IAM) or working knowledge of IAM controls and process implementations.
  • People management and leadership experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Nice-to-have

  • First-hand knowledge of IAM controls management and execution.
  • 5+ years within a global financial organization
  • 5+ years within an IAM audit role
  • Experience in KRI / KPI metrics reporting and analytics
  • Strategic mindset with excellent knowledge of the financial IT industry
