What You'll Do

  • Assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines to support business reporting and analytics needs.
  • Work with ETL/ELT processes to clean, transform, and move data between systems reliably and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure data accuracy and integrity across various sources.
  • Help monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines using tools like Datadog or other monitoring solutions.
  • Support data quality efforts by identifying anomalies and contributing to regular data audits.
  • Contribute to the implementation and support of modern data architectures, including data lakes and cloud data warehouses.
  • Write clear documentation for data processes, pipeline logic, and data definitions.
  • Learn and apply best practices in data security, scalability, and performance.
  • Use version control and CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions) to support data pipeline development and deployments.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience in a data engineering, analytics, or related role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience writing queries for reporting or data analysis.
  • Some experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript).
  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and basic understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and interest in learning cloud-based data services like S3, Redshift, or Glue.
  • Interest or basic experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Talend).
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and eagerness to learn DevOps practices.
