Job summary

The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for development and deployment of reports and dashboards, including aggregating, analyzing, and visualizing various sources of data to provide key insights to stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

  • Gather and analyze information needs from various organizational levels, including headquarters and frontline units.

  • Ensure data integrity, create complex queries, and design clear, user-friendly reports with strong data visualization.

  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to determine reporting and analytics requirements.

  • Develop custom queries and use BI tools to drive decision-making and business strategies.

  • Provide regular status updates to program leadership on reporting and analytics progress.

  • Assess and improve BI processes to enhance data accuracy, quality, and tracking.

  • Design and implement reports and dashboards based on business needs to support data-driven decisions.

  • Identify, address, and escalate risks or issues while implementing necessary solutions.

  • Work with stakeholders, business analysts, and subject matter experts to define and document data requirements.

Education and Experience Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of Tableau is required; certifications and familiarity with other BI platforms are an asset.

  • 7-10 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, visualization, and analytics projects.

  • 5+ years of Tableau (Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep Builder) experience, using complex data models, following best practices for visualization, creating calculated fields for custom metrics and using best practices for performance optimization

  • 3-5 years of reporting and analytics experience, with expertise in statistical analysis and R/Python.

  • 2-3 years of experience in data governance preferred.

  • Experience in complex, multi-system environments and high-priority projects, preferably in Agile settings.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with adaptability to fast-paced environments.

Compensation:

The target hiring range for this position is $81,170.48 to $101,463.10 with a maximum of $121,755.72.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
