WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Systems Integration Orchestration (SIO) function within the Business Aligned Services (BAS) organization has an exciting opportunity for a senior transformation professional with in-depth experience of defining, structuring and mobilizing large-scale, complex IT Infrastructure initiatives. For the right candidate, this is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key, dynamic and high-profile role with global exposure, engaging with multiple technology functions, and dealing with change demand from multiple RBC businesses.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Translate business needs into well-structured, integrated Tech Infrastructure (TI) Change-The-Bank programs which can then be incepted, delivered and assured 'end-to-end' to our lines of business ('LoBs').

  • Collaborate with TI Architecture, Engineering Towers, Service and Business teams to:

    • Define: initiative definition, upfront requirements/CX capture and business analysis.

    • Deliver and Monitor: customer-centric delivery execution, oversight and cross-LoB visibility.

  • Help to build, customise and apply the appropriate delivery methodologies and playbooks to effectively structure a given initiative (e.g. tailoring for different themes such as M&A integration, enterprise platform implementation, IT consolidation, digital transformation etc.)

  • Drive partnership and customer focus with our business stakeholders, with respect to initiative delivery and change.

  • Drive alignment with TI global standards, maximizing re-use and innovation, and supporting regional nuances where necessary.

  • Ensuring resulting programs have appropriate and high quality governance and controls in place, applying appropriate standard methodologies, frameworks / playbooks, estimation and modelling techniques.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • Highly organized and outcome-focused self-starter, comfortable with accountability for definition and execution of large, complex programs accompanied by advanced knowledge of change, constraint, dependency, issue and risk management.

  • Expert knowledge of program plan development & management, scheduling methodology, critical path management, waterfall and iterative methodologies, program and project metrics, analysis, and status reporting

  • Highly skilled in planning, defining and delivering the TI aspects of major/ high-profile business-sponsored initiatives of a transformational nature.

  • Skilled at definition of feasibility, success criteria and business case.

  • Ability to lead and motivate technically diverse, globally distributed teams across time-zones, with a matrix management approach.

  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, focused on collaborating and developing relationships with diverse stakeholders, alongside the ability to negotiate agreeable outcomes.

Nice-to-have:

  • PMP and/or PgMP certification (strong preference)
