The Business Informatics department is responsible for supporting the Business Systems and Business Intelligence. Business areas supported include Human Resources, Payroll, Supply Chain, and Finance. Our team members have four areas of knowledge including Business, Project Management, Applications, and Technical.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • SQL Proficiency: Write complex SQL queries, joins, subqueries, and window functions to extract and manipulate data from relational databases. Optimize stored procedures, functions, and triggers to automate data processing tasks and enhance performance.
  • Business Intelligence Tools: Utilize business intelligence tools (Tableau) to create and deliver data insights to stakeholders.
  • ETL Processes: Support ETL workflows, data transformations, and integration tasks using SSIS.
  • Data Modeling: Apply data modeling concepts, including Entity-Relationship (ER) modeling, normalization, and design of efficient and scalable database schemas.
  • Database Management: Manage and optimize databases with techniques like indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning for efficient data retrieval and storage.
  • Data Warehousing: Design and implement data warehouses, understanding star and snowflake schemas and data warehousing principles.
  • Data Quality and Governance: Maintain data integrity and consistency by applying data quality principles and governance best practices.
  • Business Process Understanding: Understand various business processes (e.g., Human Resources, Payroll, Supply Chain, and Finance) to align the application with organizational needs.
  • Leadership and Team Coordination: Coordinate project execution, foster collaboration, resolve conflicts, and ensure the project stays on track and within scope.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, applying analytical thinking to troubleshoot complex problems.
  • Configuration Management: Manage application configuration, ensuring compatibility with standard desktop operating systems and applications.

Qualifications

  • 4-year university degree in IT or a Business-related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with Integrated Systems.
  • Experience with the Infor application is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
