What You'll Do

The Business Analyst Co-op on the CTx team at Canadian Tire Corporation will support AI solution design and execution by analyzing business problems, defining requirements, and recommending automation scopes to solve complex challenges.

  • Collaborate with clients, product owners, and project managers to identify and assess AI and automation opportunities, analyzing business processes for suitability.
  • Define project scope, identify stakeholders, and develop detailed plans for requirement definitions, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions, document processes, and capture accurate requirements, building strong partnerships with business stakeholders.
  • Develop and refine user stories, ensuring they align with development and stakeholder needs.
  • Coordinate testing activities, including test plans and UAT scenarios, while supporting technical teams in designing robust solutions with necessary non-functional requirements.
  • Facilitate clear communication and problem-solving between stakeholders, providing ongoing project support to foster a collaborative team environment.

What You Bring

  • Currently pursuing a post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science/Analytics, Business Analytics or a related field.
  • Curious about Intelligent Automation and Artificial Intelligence (e.g., Generative AI, Machine Learning).
  • Exposure to or coursework involving data analysis and visualization techniques (e.g. SQL, Power BI)
  • Experienced with Agile methodologies, with a passion for critical thinking, problem-solving, and leveraging emerging technology to simplify processes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio)

Hybrid

This hybrid role is based out of our Yonge/Eglinton Campus and the candidate for this role can expect to work onsite a minimum two days per week.
