We are recruiting for a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. You will have the opportunity working across different business units and on various types of projects from Finance to Marketing. This role will be based at our Burnaby Corporate Head Office in BC.

This is an on-site position.

Job Overview:

The Business Analyst will be the primary liaison between the business and the BI team, responsible for gathering, consolidating, and centralizing reporting and analytics requirements from various areas of the organization. This individual will ensure these requirements are documented in SharePoint and Azure DevOps and will use technical, data analysis, and business analyst skills to support the development and delivery of business intelligence solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Requirement Gathering: Communicate with stakeholders across the dental service organization to understand and document their reporting and analytics needs.

Documentation: Consolidate and centralize all requirements in SharePoint and enter these requirements into Azure DevOps for tracking and management. Create and maintain basic design documents as required.

Power BI Reporting: Understand and help maintain the repository of Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.

Collaboration: Work closely with BI developers and data engineers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of business intelligence solutions.

Quality Assurance: Occasionally assist in validating data and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of BI practices within the organization.

Communication: Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of daily, weekly, and monthly status reports to all appropriate parties

Education, Credentials, Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate preferred

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a BI team.
  • Experience with Reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Experience in data analysis.
  • Understanding of Power BI for report and dashboard creation
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience within the Health Care or Dental industry.
  • High proficiency in technical writing
