What you'll do

As the AVP of Digital Products, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and delivery of website experiences across multiple banners within Canadian Tire. You will be responsible for leading a team of talented product managers, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and driving strategic initiatives to enhance our digital product offerings. This is a high-impact position that requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of digital product development, data analysis and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

  • Lead and manage a team responsible for the development and delivery of website experiences across multiple banners within Canadian Tire.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, technology, and analytics, to develop and execute strategic plans for digital product development.
  • Define the overall vision, strategy, and roadmap for digital products to align with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Drive innovation by staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital product development.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new features.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of digital products, monitor performance metrics, and optimize user experiences.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to release, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient execution of digital product initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation, feedback-driven iterations, and data-driven decision-making.

What you bring

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital product management or related roles, preferably within the retail or e-commerce industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching consumer-facing digital products at scale.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent strategic thinking abilities with the capacity to translate business goals into actionable plans.
  • Deep knowledge and experience working in Agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data insights to drive decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Passion for creating outstanding customer experiences through innovative digital products.
