What Is The Opportunity?

The Digital Technology team is undertaking multiple API governance and reporting initiatives as part of RBC's ongoing plan to continuously improve cyber security posture, reliability and availability across the digital technology assets. In this role you will be responsible for architecting, building, automated API governance platforms and managing successful implementation. The role adds value by providing deep security controls assessment insights on APIs, coordinate, develop, lead, communicate and execute activities to ensure objectives are accomplished according on time.

What Will You Do?

  • Manage the implementation of multiple concurrent reporting initiatives of varying complexity in a time efficient manner. Monitor and control activities according to plan.

  • Develop complex dynamic governance automation pulling from multiple data sources.

  • Drives continuous operational process improvement/optimization to improve service levels and quality of assessments.

  • Contribute with stakeholders and develop key metrics indicators reports.

  • Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks. Analyze, mitigate and escalate where appropriate.

  • Establish strong working relationships across stakeholders, platform, and data providers to build influence and impact with key business partners.

  • Contribute to ongoing administrative activities as required.

What Do You Need To Succeed?

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Hands-on experience with DevOps CI/CD tools.

  • Hands-on experience with Application Security controls (Pentesting, SAST, DAST, SCA)

  • Relevant certifications required CISA, CISSP, and CRISC

  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Successful at communicating equally effectively across diverse audiences and organizational levels

Nice-to-have:

  • Advanced programing experience in Python

  • Professional with 2+ years of experience in security consulting

  • Experience with Splunk or ELK data platforms

  • Master's degree in ML/AI or equivalent experience

  • Hands on experience with writing complex queries on relational and NoSQL database
