The
Job Duties
●Organize and execute network infrastructure installations and maintenance.
●Plan, schedule, and allocate resources for TSC projects.
●Purchase products, prepare quotes, and manage inventory.
●Maintain drawings, documentation and labelling of the University's communication infrastructure
●Install, troubleshoot, and repair telephony systems.
Employment Opportunity
●Manage phone extensions and access to emergency service numbers.
●Maintain copper and fiber cabling infrastructure.
●Maintain voicemail systems and audit bills.
●Manage budget codes for billing purposes.
●Communicate with outside contractors and vendors on installations, service and support requests.
Qualifications
●
●3 years of experience in telecommunications and network infrastructure installation.
●2 years of experience in project planning and development.
●Experience with
●Experience in purchasing and inventory management
●Experience with fiber optic splicing, and copper terminations.
●Experience with business systems and software
●Strong communication skills.
●Knowledge of safety standards, including WHMIS and fall arrest protocols
Working Conditions
●Primarily an 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. shift, Monday to Friday.
●When required, hours of work may be modified to suit the needs of the University.
●Office environment
