Overview


The International Coordinator of Global Pre-Arrival plays a key role in managing government-mandated programs related to international student enrolment. This position oversees the Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) program, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations while supporting international students through the admissions and study permit processes. The role involves coordinating communications, maintaining records, and contributing to Lakehead University's strategic enrolment goals.

Responsibilites


  • Lead the Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) issuance process, including eligibility determination, communication with applicants, and tracking progress.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations by managing study permit tracking and verification.
  • Oversee pre-arrival and student transition programs, including orientation and arrival support.
  • Maintain and analyze key enrolment data to optimize student conversion processes.
  • Develop reporting tools and ensure timely submission of compliance documents.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including immigration advisors, recruiters, and government agencies.

Qualifications


  • 3 years of experience in database management and records tracking.
  • Strong Excel skills (formulas, data analysis) and experience with automated communication platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and apply immigration and university policies effectively.
  • Cross-cultural experience and an understanding of international student needs are assets.
  • Certification as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) is preferred but not required.
