Strides Toronto

Director, Information Technology (IT)

Strides Toronto is a multi-service agency providing a wide range of exceptional programs and services that improve the mental, social and physical health of infants, children, and youth from the pre-natal stage to age 29 and their families. With a range of community, residential, and treatment services, Strides builds strength and resilience through equitable, accessible, client-driven services, system leadership, and advocacy. Strides provides individual, group and family interventions that include mental health counselling, autism services, education, outreach and referral, early intervention, day treatment and community support. In its Lead Agency role, Strides Toronto collaborates with 24 publicly funded infant, child and youth mental health (ICYMH) core service providers to design and implement system-level improvements that promote access, responsive service delivery and experience, and positive mental health outcomes for young people and families across Toronto’s diverse communities.

Strides is passionate about serving and empowering its employees, extended networks, and communities to thrive in an ever-evolving world. It is within this context that the Board invites nominations and applications for the role of Director, IT.

Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Services, the Director, IT will provide strategic IT leadership to the organization, the Lead Agency, and client-facing programs to deliver innovative, capable, reliable, and secure information and technology systems in support of Strides Toronto’s mission and operations. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining an information technology strategy and related initiatives in alignment with Strides Toronto’s organizational vision, mission, strategic plan, and objectives. This strategy will optimize client and user experience, enterprise resource planning, and business intelligence capabilities. The Director will also recruit, motivate, develop, and retain a highly engaged, customer-centric Information Technology team. Additionally, the Director is tasked with securely and effectively overseeing and managing a broad IT services, applications, and infrastructure portfolio that includes Strides systems, regional systems (e.g., the Business Intelligence Solution), and provincial systems (e.g., Provincial Virtual Walk-In). Continuous improvement of system performance, IT service delivery, project management, compliance, security, and value through IT best practices is also a key responsibility. Finally, the Director will play a strategic role by providing information and technology advice to other members of the management and senior management team, Board of Directors, and stakeholders across the organization to achieve Strides Toronto’s vision, strategic goals, and objectives, particularly during organizational amalgamations.
