YOUR IMPACT
The Sr. Manager - Technical Project Management serves as a Portfolio Manager for CDO Ops, managing intake requests from Engineering and Product teams to align with business needs. This role prioritizes initiatives, shapes IT strategies, and defines technology roadmaps. As a senior technical leader, the position requires strong program management skills, strategic problem-solving, and the ability to scale operations while influencing leadership. Collaborating with Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, and HR, the role ensures high performance and alignment with strategic goals. Responsibilities include monitoring project timelines, budgets, and emerging issues while making trade-off decisions when necessary. Reporting to the Sr. Director, CDO PMO, the Portfolio Manager oversees a team of Technical Project Managers, ensuring process consistency, strategic alignment, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, they provide mentorship, coaching, and training to support professional development and drive operational excellence.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
• Oversee the administration and risk management of the commercial services portfolio.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Monitor and report on portfolio performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Working with the business towards prioritizing demand and planning projects across a portfolio as defined within a governance model
• Assessing portfolio activities and comparing them to available resources and constraints
• Work closely with aligned business partners in the development and execution of defined strategies and project development, facilitating the smooth adoption of new technology-based solutions
• Organizing business reviews and managing project intake and roadmaps
• Establishing strong relationships with senior management rooted in trusted delivery and high-quality results
• Facilitating the solution of key business critical / priority issues and aligning the project budget accordingly (make most of the dollar being spent)
• Providing effective portfolio communication and governance plans to business partners
• Work closely with IT financial analysts to provide oversight and detailed reporting on overall portfolio financials on a regular basis
• Control, monitor,r and report on a consolidated set of projects, programs, and associated changes for delivery across the portfolio
• Flagging and monitoring emerging issues and recommends necessary actions and works with Project Managers to course correct
• Making trade-off decisions in terms of budget and resources where required for projects under their management, setting priorities, and managing interdependencies across a portfolio
• Inspire and motivate direct and indirect Project Managers
• Attending industry conferences and staying apprised of changing technology trends and potential future solutions to be considered within the various IT teams
• Work closely with other members of the PMO to create, revise, and maintain PMO governance and structure by pro-actively aligning with best practices and trends

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• 10 + years of demonstrated success in managing technology projects across multiple systems of varying degrees of complexity.
• 10 + years of proven abilities related to project management with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced working environment.
• 5 + years in a management or portfolio management position
• 5+ years in managing and growing a team of professional project managers.
• Broaden knowledge of commercial technologies such as cloud services (private, public, and sovereign cloud), business networks, security compliance or infrastructure.
• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools
• Ability to manage and conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis on complex data.
• Experience working in a complex, matrix, fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality.
• Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• The ability to work independently, as part of a team, and cross-functionally within the organization.
