YOUR IMPACT:

Opentext is seeking Senior Developer Salesforce - Enterprise Systems Lead for the development and optimization of system enhancements by translating business needs into technical solutions supporting the Sales domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating technical design and development primarily on Sales Cloud, optimizing the use of Salesforce features and functionalities.

This role requires an experienced Salesforce certified professional direct experience in Salesforce Development and design demonstrating career progression and increasing complexity of work.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:

  • Perform technical design, development, testing, code review, and documentation as it relates to Salesforce.com
  • Integrate Salesforce with other systems and applications, ensuring data consistency and seamless workflow
  • Participate in the planning and analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements
  • Adept at analyzing business problems and breaking it down into actionable work items
  • Proactively identify opportunities for building scalable solutions
  • Maintain detailed documentation of Salesforce configurations, customizations, processes as well as integrations
  • Be a reliable point of escalation and provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Reviewing legacy functionality and replacing it with best practices.
  • Stay current with Salesforce best practices, industry trends, and new features to recommend and implement improvements

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor's in computer science or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II) are highly desirable.
  • 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce (Sales and Service Cloud) experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in the information technology field.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce APIs,
  • Good to Have experience integrating Salesforce with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and data migration tools.
  • Experience in creating Apex classes, Triggers and using APIs.
  • Expert-level knowledge of the Salesforce object model in conjunction with SOQL and SOSL.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with 3rd party applications such as ERPs is an asset.
  • Experience deploying applications to the Salesforce AppExchange is an asset.
  • Experience with Agile Delivery frameworks (e.g. SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)
  • Demonstrated ability of successfully leading complex IT applications serving Internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Extensive experience in Salesforce development with a strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
