YOUR IMPACT

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a crucial role within the business FP&A team supporting the expanding Customer Success organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst will be at the forefront of strategic decision-making, leveraging financial modeling and system expertise together with strong analytical and communication skills to provide operational support that drives optimal financial decision-making.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Partnership with operational teams to support key commercial initiatives and objectives
  • Opportunity to develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning
  • Define and track key financial metrics and key performance indicators
  • Provide detailed explanations for performance deviations and contribute to corrective action plans
  • Ability to continuously refine forecasting methodologies to enhance accuracy and reliability
  • Analyze expenses, providing insights into cost drivers, risks, and opportunities
  • Analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights to facilitate informed decision-making
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc financial reports to support decision-making
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis and reporting or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of business fundamentals and financial acumen
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools
  • Experience using SAP, BPC, or Power BI is an asset
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills


Work Arrangement: This role will be office-based out of either Waterloo, ON office or Richmond Hill, ON office. Employees need to be in the office on OpenText corporate days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) to drive maximum coordination and collaboration.
