PEU Engineering Environment & Services provides Cloud RAN production system services which enable resilient Cloud Native production pipeline services for all Cloud RAN Engineering units, including digital testing, self-service, and as-a-service provisioning, enabling DevOps and CICD.

About this role
Reporting to the Line of Lab & HW Infrastructure Services DevOps Infra, the senior Test Environment Engineer for area EES Infrastructure will be the key driver for taking the Lab & HW Infrastructure Services to the next level of Intelligent Global Infrastructure Networks.

You will

  • Build/design, create BOM lists for Cloud Ran environment platforms and System designs
  • Read Electronic and electrical blueprint diagrams and understand concept high level diagrams
  • Ability to analyze and plan investment needs from existing material and equipment database and interfacing requirements
  • Wide range of knowledge related to transport types, optical and copper and different component, and connector types and ranges
  • Knowledge of power, HVAC, and facility operations to determine build space needs for Test Environments working with lab strategy and facility groups
  • Understand TTM concepts of product development best solution from a technical lead-time and cost perspective
  • Willingness to learn and become proficient in local data tracking and database interface Tools
  • Work well with a small team of TEE participating in daily/weekly scrums or design meetings and provide input and present issues or solutions to problems
  • Business background or finance related management
  • Work with Program managers and cross functional team
  • Coordinate stake holder group meetings in product development of Cloud RAN, 5G LTE SW System test platforms
  • Demonstrates clear concise knowledge and experience as system engineer to evaluate and ensure interface and compatibility between vendor suppliers and determine working Bill of materials, project costs and budget
  • Report to senior management in Sweden and Ottawa in project management capacity
  • Local point of contact for internal production line issues for delivery from Beijing, Sweden, Mexico affecting local STP builds
  • Create yearly budget forecasts for Lab Infrastructure Dev services expansion and upgrade
  • Present weekly analytics and KPI on workflow and progress using flow charts, excel pivot, Power BI, Tableau and Kanban charts
  • SAP database administration
  • Use Jira and other Atlassian tools for ticketing resources
  • Project kickoff BOM review and system analysis based on design requirements and development tracks

You will have

Due to the complexity of our environment aura we need to have a certain sensitivity and understanding on specific ways of working:

  • 10+ years' experience in Telecom ICT management, LAB management or field experience in Telcom or good electronics and IT equipment and compute background.
  • Diploma or degree in related field of Systems Engineering (electrical, IT or electro-mechanical)
  • Demonstrated Abilities to adapt and change quickly to CI requirements, learn by investigation, work with minimal supervision.
  • Field experience in resolving telecom issues with LTE or CLOUD and other legacy equipment from a hands-on level.
  • Knowledge of Ericsson Product type Radios and Digital Units
  • Lab or project Management Experience and some certifications
  • Cloud and Ran system platform familiarity Fronthaul and Backhaul solutions system design
