The mandate of Information Technology Services is to create business value by providing innovative and strategic technology solutions for the business operations of the City of Ottawa.
You are responsible for providing technical oversight to the design, planning and implementation of assigned high-risk/large-scale and highly technical IT solutions focusing on data architecture, data technologies, standards , enterprise data and processes you are responsible for : developing Solution Architectures and end-to-end Data / Information Architectures for various client scenarios, architect data warehouse, DataMart's and data stores, that impact the overall IT Ecosystem. You are also responsible for supporting the Data Governance initiatives in the organization, providing technical oversight to the design, planning and implementation of data strategy and roadmaps, You are also responsible for supporting the identification and classification of existing enterprise data sets to produce a comprehensive data architecture map serving as the department's technical subject matter expert on the assigned solution, and leading the provision of its critical, day-to-day operations.
Completion of 4 year university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience conducting technical design and architecture over a broad variety of software and hardware environments
