Job Description

Skyworks is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented RF Test Engineering Co-Op to join our team in Ottawa, CA. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in the field of radio frequency testing according to wireless communication standards. You will take part in testing of high-demand WiFi, RF switches, and Filter products. This position is a 12-month Co-Op starting from January to December 2025.

Resposibilities

  • Building RF test setups and harnesses.

  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal description

  • Calibrate various test setups to ensure accurate measurements.

  • Spectral/Network along with modulated signal analysis.

  • Analyze and interpret test data and check against the predefined limits to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify issues and develop solutions.

  • Tests performed will include, but are not limited to, Devm, Mask, Out of Band Emission, S-Parameter, Noise Figure, and IIP3.

  • Document test procedures and update the existing ones.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in Electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field pursuing a BS or MS degree.

  • Understanding of RF Technology, RF principles, and testing methodology.

  • Must be proactive improve test benches and provide feedback for test procedures and test programs.

  • Knowledge of RF test equipment: Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Multi-meter, Oscilloscope, Power meter, etc.

  • Knowledge of LabView and Python for test automation and data processing is a plus.

  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to understand schematics and diagrams.

  • Must have a team-oriented attitude, accountability, and ownership.

The typical pay range for an intern is currently CAD $25.00 - $44.00 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on level of education and the ultimate job duties and requirements.
