JOB SUMMARY:


The Programmer/Analyst - Salesforce is responsible for the configuration, customization, and ongoing support of our Salesforce Service Cloud platform. The Programmer/Analyst - Salesforce collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements, implement solutions, and provide training and support to end-users, and is also responsible for the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and workflows to improve operational efficiency, while ensuring that the platform remains up-to-date and aligned with business needs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Configure and customize Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts.

  • Develop custom reports and dashboards to track key metrics and provide insights.

  • Provide training and support to end-users on Salesforce functionality.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.

  • Stay up-to-date on Salesforce releases and new features.

  • Maintain and apply knowledge of the application landscape, partnering with technical and functional staff to improve usage of Salesforce to ensure full capabilities are being leveraged.

  • Lead day-to-day activities and ensure that issues are brought to the attention of the appropriate colleague and/or supervisor for resolution.

  • Lead the coordination and administration of security privileges for users in alignment with stakeholder needs and consideration of potential segregation of duties.

  • Apply understanding of core operational business needs and processes to ensure transactional changes on downstream processes and systems are considered.

  • Responsible for CRM Salesforce process design, including creation, review and approval of detailed "to be" business scenarios, processes, workflows and use cases.

  • Coordinate and/or facilitate delivery of updates to existing solutions or implementation of new solutions through adherence to best practices for change management.

  • Create and maintain reference documentation for changes and support activities.

  • Act as the point of contact and coordinate input from the subject matter experts and participate in solution strategy development and implementation as well as technical stewardship.

  • Oversee activities in collaboration with cross functional stakeholders and vendors.

  • Clarify complex concepts/proposals in terms that are appropriate to the audience and present information clearly and concisely.

  • Coordinate and/or facilitate testing, validation and deployment activities, coordinating efforts among internal staff and support partners to configure/ update and upgrade for systems.

  • Build long-term relationships or partnerships with internal/external clients and suppliers to support business needs.

  • Perform other related duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary education in a related field such a Computer Science or Information Technology

  • A combination of formal training and relevant experience may substitute for academic requirement

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Salesforce administration

  • Experience with Apex, Visualforce, and/or Lightning Wb Components

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills

  • Experience in managing multiple priorities in a service oriented customer environment.

  • Experience with ITIL and change management best practices

  • Salesforce Administrator certification or equivalent experience considered an asset

  • Experience developing strategic partnerships across functional areas considered an asset

  • Strong computer skills; proficient in the use of office productivity and collaboration tools, preferably G Suite

  • English essential, both oral and written; Bilingual (French/English) considered an asset

This is a management group opportunity and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

Hydro Ottawa offers a Hybrid Work Model. Hybrid work is position specific, the details of which the hybrid model will be discussed with successful candidates.

$70,146.95

Pay Range Maximum:

$105,220.44
