About this opportunity
As a co-op in our 5G Radio Development team, your role will include activities during most stages of Radio Product Development such as Requirements Analysis, System Design, Architecture Design, Hardware Design, Software Design, Integration & Verification, Tools and Simulations, Product Lifecycle Management support and Product Documentation. We operate and coordinate in multi-disciplinary and multi-functional development teams in which continuous improvement and innovation are integral parts of the daily work.
What you will do
The candidate will have the opportunity to acquire and/or enhance knowledge and skills of:
- Low Power RF PA module architectures (Class-B, Doherty, Doherty-Chireix) and technologies (LDMOS, GaAs, GaN) and specifications
- Low mechanical profile RF filter types and technologies (SAW, BAW, ceramic) and specifications
- Measurement equipment (Vector Network analyzer, Vector Signal Analyzer, RF Signal Generator, Power supply)
- Measurement methods (general methods and methods specific to 4G and 5G 3GPP standards)
- Measurement setups specific to measuring RF PA modules and/or RF filters.
- Knowledge regarding ancillary components to implement the setups: couplers, circulators/isolators, attenuators, RF cables, RF connectors, splitters, RF loads.
- The main task will be to evaluate low power RF PA module components and /or low mechanical profile RF filters.
- Simulation and scripting using Python or Matlab.
- Perform continuous analysis, requirement analysis, system design and product documentation.
You will bring
- Current experience in an Electrical Engineering University Program and have interests in Radio Frequency (RF) Hardware (HW)
- The will and ability to learn, as this role will be working closely and under the supervision of an Ericsson Team Member
This position reports to Manager- Functional Systemization.
