Our Mid-Market Marketing team is responsible for developing and executing our overall acquisition and base management pricing & marketing strategy for Mid-Market B2B customers. This includes customer acquisition, base management, pricing, marketing strategy & operations, and channel strategy. Our team has P&L accountability for the Mid-market business segment across wireless and wireline services. We currently require a high energy, impactful leader to lead our Commercial Wireline Pricing Team, driving growth and product intensity across our Mid-market customer base.


Here's how

  • You will lead our marketing and pricing strategy for all wireline products and services sold to Mid-market business customers, owning key performance indicators for subscriber growth and profitability for the entire segment
  • You will be responsible for designing and executing innovative marketing strategies for customer acquisition, base management, cross-sell/up-sell, and customer technology migration
  • You'll work closely with our Strategy & Planning, Product and Channel teams to measure the effectiveness of deployed strategies, analyzing customer behavior and market trends, and swiftly making informed pricing decisions backed by strong data and analytics
  • You'll collaborate closely with our partners in Sales & Support teams to execute our marketing strategies and drive effective change management across key stakeholder groups through effective collaboration and influence, in order to deliver on our business objectives
  • Reporting to Director Mid-Market Acquisition & Base Management, and leading a team of 5 strong senior team members, you will play a critical role in driving profitable subscriber and market share growth in the Mid-Market segment, and work closely with peers in adjacent subsegments across the TELUS Business Marketing team to support our overall growth strategy

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

  • You have product, pricing or customer marketing experience in technology, telecom, or other relevant sectors that you'll call upon in this role.
  • You are a collaborative cross-functional partner and have experience driving significant change across broad stakeholder groups while executing change management mandates.
  • You have experience spearheading large business transformation programs which have delivered significant improvements in business outcomes in a marketing or operational function.
  • You're an analytical and strategic thinker who uses fact based analysis to guide your decision making, particularly when confronting ambiguity. You're comfortable leveraging large data-sets in making decisions, and you build clear and effective business cases.
  • You are resilient and adept at thinking outside the box and are constantly observing, being curious and aspiring to grow both personally and professionally

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering
  • 8-10 years of work experience in Marketing focussed roles
  • MBA degree preferred but not required

Great-to-haves:

  • B2B experience
  • Telecommunications and/or technology-based industry experience
