The Business and Technical Support Services is responsible for providing strategic, business, technical and other operational support services through a centralized branch that consolidates and streamlines the delivery of specialized business supports and services to an assigned department.
You are responsible for developing, managing, and implementing assigned internal audits of departmental management systems, ensuring that service quality solutions are being achieved and that client group management system(s) are compliant with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements. You guide staff on management system processes, projects and continual improvement, coordinate and manage continual improvement projects, communicate with staff on the status of the Management Systems and regulatory compliance, and contribute to ongoing service delivery and service improvement initiatives.
Multiple positions in this job serve departmental branches of Water Distribution, Water Production, Wastewater Treatment and Collection and Laboratory Services, and will have a branch focus, depending on work assignment.
This Management Systems Coordinator position is assigned to the Management System, of the accredited and regulated laboratory, in compliance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 and the Ontario Safe Drinking Water Act Regulations. The coordinator:
Completion of 3 year university degree in Business Administration or General Science, or 3 year community college diploma in Environmental Studies, Analytical Chemistry, Engineering or other related technologist field with a systems focus, including coursework in data analysis and mathematics.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a process improvement function in a medium to large organization, with a unionized environment, multiple and diverse work groups, multiple work sites, and 24 hour operations.
