About this opportunity:

RAN Software & Compute Platforms Engineering (RCE) is a new unit with end-to-end responsibilities for software and compute, focusing on next-gen development for open and cloud-native RAN software. With high-performing programmable networks, enabled by openness and cloud, the unit will help Ericsson to maintain technology leadership.

Business Operations and Program Office seeks to drive that RCE has the best people, the best practices and operating model, to deliver the best product that meets our customers' needs through quality focused execution within our portfolio financial investments.

What you will do:

  • The Strategy and Transformation unit leads and drives EU RCE organizational strategy and strategy execution (OKR), by aligning the EU long-term objectives and its near-term focus areas.
  • Lead and drive top priority transformations for RCE, together with RCE transformation officer, PEU/FUs and programs.
  • Lead RCE in strategy creation and execution through OKRs, working closely with Technology and System Management
  • Drive and support transformation on EU level including Staffing, Progress monitoring, measuring and Transformation governance
  • Support and enable the organization to execute on the Next Generation SW transformation
  • Establish a community of change leaders across the organziation to enable continuous improvement towards our wanted position.
  • Establish Supporting structures for the Change leader community to enable and foster an innovative and collaborative culture throughout the Organization.
  • Lead long term transformation on WoW in Programs
  • Lead key strategic initiatives initiated by BNEW / Group Function
  • Collaborate across the organization beyond BNEW borders, leverage off and partner with other areas where appropriate.

The skills you bring:

  • Domain experience leading product development organizations
  • Experience in strategy creation and execution
  • Experience driving large scale transformations
  • Ability to drive timely execution against roadmap
  • 10+ years product development experience in leading global large development teams, with a demonstrated passion for development
  • Strong domain knowledge to have the needed credibility with our teams and suppliers
  • Experience driving transformation in R&D organizations
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or commensurate working experience.
  • Strategic and big picture thinking, with the ability to focus on delivering on your contribution to BNEW R&D today and into the future
  • Thrives on accountability, overcoming challenges with a can-do attitude and motivated to achieve beyond expectations
  • Collaborates by default and looks to work together rather than compete, also holding your teams accountable for working as one BNEW R&D
  • Authentic, courageous and inspiring leadership with empathy and humanness, whilst building high performing teams and growing tomorrow's leaders
