5G RAN Verification
Location: Ottawa, Ontario

About this opportunity:

For the 5G RAN Verification position, you will be responsible for testing the Ericsson baseband software, debugging and troubleshooting, design, develop & maintain automated test cases, including preparation of relevant documentation.

What you will do:

This quality assurance role consists of verifying and integrating content for Ericsson's products. The role requires the employee to:
• Integrate, troubleshoot and verify new features and functions on the Ericsson base station product.
• Perform legacy quality assurance and feature interaction testing
• Apply knowledge wireless communication protocols (e.g. 5G NR, 4G LTE)
• Work in a lab environment to trouble-shoot and integrate complex new pieces of software.
• Develop automated test cases to ensure existing functionality is never degraded by new software
• Document all test analysis and test plans
• Work collaboratively in small cross-functional teams that include design and system engineers.

The skills you bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
• Practical knowledge of programming languages (Java, Python, Bash)
• Working knowledge of coding in one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, C or C++
• Familiarity with Developer tools (Eclipse, Intellij, Maven) and Linux environment
• Knowledge about software version control and tracking tools (Git, Atlassian Jira)
• Familiarity with Jenkins, SonarQube, TestNg & JUnit
• (Must have) Experience with Data Structures or Algorithms gathered from completing a data structures or algorithms class, coursework, course projects, research, individual projects, internships, or other practical experience inside or outside of school or work (including open source hobby coding).
• Some experience with Test Automation (writing test cases from scratch & contributing to test architectures)
• Keen interest in wireless communication (4G/5G)
• Prior programming experience in wireless communication and network industry is an asset
• Desire to work with new and emerging technologies
• Experience in the area of AI/ML is an asset
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
• Self-motivator that works well under pressure
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Salary Range:
• Bachelors: $84,000
• Masters: $93,000


Hiring Bonus:
• Bachelors: $8,500
• Masters: $11,500
