The Data Analyst - Business Intelligence (BI) is responsible for analyzing data, generating insights, and supporting decision-making processes by developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations. The role involves working closely with various departments to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and provide actionable insights through data analysis. The Data Analyst will use BI tools to deliver data-driven recommendations that support business objectives.

HERE'S HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs.

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI solutions.

  • Work with data engineers and IT teams to ensure data is properly integrated, stored, and maintained.

  • Perform basic data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.

  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

  • Develop and maintain visually compelling and interactive BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for BI reports, dashboards, and data models.

  • Conduct in-depth analyses to support business decisions and provide actionable insights.

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data used in reports and dashboards.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in BI reports and dashboards.

  • Continuously refine BI reports and dashboards to meet evolving business needs.

  • Analyze business performance metrics and provide insights on key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Monitor BI solutions to ensure they meet the performance and scalability requirements of the organization.

  • Present data insights and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.

  • Provide training to end-users and business stakeholders on BI tool features and best practices on how to leverage the tool for business outcomes.

  • Stay updated on BI tools, data analytics trends, and best practices to improve the quality and effectiveness of BI solutions.

  • Provide input on BI tool enhancements and new features to optimize data analysis and reporting capabilities.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Bachelor's degree in - Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.

  • Translatable skills in BI Software and Microsoft Excel are a must-have.

  • Significant experience using Power BI is an asset and an advantage (proficiency in other BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Business Objects, SSRS, Tableau, or QlikView would be considered).

  • Previous experience with legacy BI tool migration to Power BI is an advantage.

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with querying databases.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Naturally curious with an ability to formulate questions at varying depths to uncover needs, hunt for misalignment, and grow an understanding of our business.

  • Self-starter and can work independently to achieve desired business outcomes.

  • Ability to work in a team with varied skill sets and experience.

  • Positive mindset and willingness to learn on the job.
