Position Summary:

Located at our Primary Turkey facility and reporting to the QA Manager, the Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for maintaining the facility's food safety and quality program. This includes all necessary onsite and record verifications as well as facility audits, production sampling and associate training. The incumbent will also perform test and sampling requirements, pre-operational inspections, data entry and record keeping.

Work Schedule: 10 hour shifts 4 days/week, Mon-Thurs. 5am-3:30pm and 10am-8:30pm rotating bi-weekly.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Primarily responsible to ensure compliance of day-to-day functions and alignment of our food safety and quality program;
  • Record keeping, monitoring and verification of documents;
  • Calibrating and cleaning testing equipment;
  • Reviewing and revising testing procedures;
  • Conducting inspections checks on goods and production processes;
  • Perform manual and automated quality checks;
  • Ensuring employees adhere to safety and quality regulations;
  • Reporting safety and quality infringements to the Sr. QA Technicians and/or QA Manager;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment;
  • Experience with writing and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs);
  • Strong analytical and mathematics skills;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Willingness to work in a primary Turkey harvest facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or certificate in quality management, food science, or related field;
  • 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
