Are you ready for an exciting IT leadership opportunity with the global leader in logistics? At Kuehne+Nagel, we are looking for a dynamic Senior IT Manager to join our Canadian head office in Toronto and lead our IT strategy and operations.
Your Role
You will be responsible for managing Kuehne+Nagel Canada's IT service desk operations, ensuring the effective and reliable delivery of technology support across the organization. In this role, you will lead and develop a team of IT Specialists, fostering a collaborative and service-oriented culture. You will oversee the resolution of IT issues and the implementation of global-led improvements designed to enhance business operations. Additionally, you will collaborate with leadership to ensure IT activities are strategically aligned with organizational objectives. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring the IT infrastructure remains secure, compliant, and capable of meeting evolving business requirements.
Your Responsibilities
Implement IT service strategies to support business objectives and ensure operational excellence.
Oversee the performance, security, and compliance of all IT systems and infrastructure, identifying and mitigating risks proactively.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT Specialists, fostering accountability and continuous professional growth.
Drive globally-led process improvements and strategic initiatives to enhance IT service delivery and operational efficiency.
Establish and manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service provision.
Act as a senior advisor to business leaders, providing insights and recommendations on IT capabilities to address organizational challenges.
Monitor and manage IT budgets, aligning expenditures with financial goals and business priorities.
Your Skills and Experiences
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
10+ years of experience in IT service desk operations or a similar role, ideally within logistics or a comparable industry.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle IT-related escalations effectively.
Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk) is a strong asset.
IT certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation) are preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
