Job Summary

The Project Manager will support different sectors to transition new accounts from the existing service provider to Compass, to ensure a smooth, seamless transition and all project deliverables are delivered according to our commitment on the contract and/or response to RFP. This position will work with a variety of groups including Operations, Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Vendors/Suppliers, IT, Sales, Compass Digital and our Clients.

How you will make an impact:

  • Transition project management; accountable for project delivery on time and on budget
  • Single point of contact meeting weekly with the client to provide updates
  • Lead formal, internal, weekly meetings with all internal stakeholders and perform daily follow-ups to ensure project tasks are being delivered on time; generate meeting agenda and provides meeting minutes
  • Develop project plan and project charter to meet established business standards
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate project progress
  • Support the Project Management team's overall goal to reduce or avoid costs, increase efficiency, streamline processes and build confidence and trust with our clients, internal departments, contractors, consultants
  • Track project management hours and allocate to the proper cost centres, ensuring that hours and costs are within budget
  • Generate project kick-off report, project closeout report, lessons learned and weekly meeting minutes
  • Complete and distribute weekly executive project update report

About you:

  • 8+ years' experience in project management working with senior executives and clients
  • Degree or Diploma in Project Management or Business Administration preferred
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as well as cloud based scheduling applications is required
  • Working knowledge of Smartsheet and Visio is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively manage expectations
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to present ideas in a clear, user friendly format
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Easily adapt and respond appropriately to changes, delays, or unexpected events in the work environment
