Position Summary...

The Manager, Price Analytics plays a key role in driving innovation and shaping the strategic direction of pricing across the organization. This role is responsible for developing and implementing advanced pricing tools, frameworks, and analytics that deliver measurable business impact. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with senior leaders to turn complex data into actionable pricing strategies. By harnessing data science, advanced reporting, and scalable analytics, you will strengthen and evolve the organization's position as a pricing leader in the market. This is a high-visibility role with global influence, ideal for commercially minded leader with deep analytical expertise and passion for driving pricing innovation.

What you'll do...

  • Define and lead the pricing product roadmap, including the analytical frameworks used to measure the effectiveness of corporate and pricing strategies. Embed tools and insights into the merchant's regular planning cycle.
  • Own and evolve pricing tools and reporting used to plan and execute price changes across Walmart Canada (store and online). Act as the SME for pricing processes and workflows, collaborating closely with Merchandising and cross-functional partners to support new feature rollouts.
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of pricing solutions by identifying transformation opportunities, validating value and feasibility, creating project plans, and assessing organizational readiness. Govern the agile implementation process using an MVP (minimum viable product) approach. Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Merchandising, Finance, Operations) to drive change management and adoption of pricing tools and processes.
  • Engage with global markets through Pricing Leverage Networks to drive continuous improvement in pricing analytics and strategy.
  • Manage a blended team of internal and external analysts, data scientists, and developers across Canada and International tech teams. Guide the creation of algorithms, tools, and analytical solutions for data mining, diagnostics, and price optimization.
  • Influence cross-functional strategy and deliverables by developing strong relationships, sharing insights, and recommending scalable and innovative solutions.
  • Build deep business and technical expertise to support project execution. Analyze current workflows, identify gaps, and propose process improvements to enhance simplicity, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Recruit and develop top talent to build a high-performing analytics team. Oversee relationships with third-party data providers, including budget management, service agreements, deliverables, and issue resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Management, Finance, Statistics, Engineering, Marketing, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of increasing responsibility in advanced analytics, market research, revenue management, data science, or related roles within within the consumer goods or retail industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (with VBA), PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Proficient in querying and manipulating large datasets using SQL (e.g., GCP, Hive/HUE, Oracle).
  • Skilled in data transformation tools (e.g., Alteryx, SSIS) and programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
  • Hands-on experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI algorithms.
  • Proficient in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience working with POS, transactional, competitive, and market data (e.g., NIQ, Circana, Numerator).
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a track record of developing frameworks and processes.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership through data-driven insights and compelling business cases.
  • Demonstrated leadership in coaching, team development, and performance management.
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and driving pricing innovation.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • This is a 5 days a week onsite job.
