You as an Assistant Manager, Facilities Operations will:

  • Oversee the work of the team members to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively and that they are meeting the contractual obligations with internal and external clients.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members as needed, helping them to identify deficiencies in the business and determine multiple ways to propose improvement solutions through automation, process improvement or other methods.
  • Monitor the quality of the data collected and reports generated by the team, ensuring that they are accurate, reliable, and meet the needs of the clients.
  • Participate in discussions related to energy, its use, and possible solutions to any situations related to monitoring through data and providing guidance to the team members on how to approach these discussions.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders in the organization to ensure that data-engineered reporting views are created with the appropriate requirements for the Operations Team review.
  • Develop and implementing automated workflows to create more efficient ways for reporting and analysis to be distributed among multiple clients and end users.
  • Provide updates through monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings to clients and stakeholders in which report results are presented and ensuring that the team members are prepared to present the data clearly and concisely.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and techniques in data analysis and providing guidance to team members on how to use these tools to improve the efficiency and accuracy of their work.
  • Identify areas of opportunity in the business and work with the team to look for solutions and make proposals to various teams to accomplish the solutions needed.
  • Support the team's understanding of commercial requirements and provide guidelines for reporting after consulting with proper internal parties
  • Collaborate with Sites General Managers with deliverables within the scope of service during mobilization and contract life.

Overall, the Manager would be responsible for ensuring that the team members are working effectively and efficiently to provide accurate and reliable data analysis to clients and that they are continuously improving their processes to meet the needs of the organization.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the validation of the accuracy of data being recorded and worked in the department for decision-making purposes, ensuring that the highest standards of data accuracy are maintained.
  • Create documentation required for new projects and processes implemented within the business stream, ensuring that the documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.
  • Support the team to be able to provide the energy modeling data on an annual basis for multiple clients and provide support to the party creating the model.
  • Coach and support the development the direct reports and indirect reports.

Is this the right role for you?

  • Experience managing and leading a team 2+ years
  • Contract language familiarity
  • Strong analytical individual.
  • Reporting and analytics experience 2+ years. Including but not limited to
    • Power BI 1+ years
    • Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Google sheet or any other analytic application using:
      • Formulas
      • Macros
      • Power Queries
    • Knowledge of SQL (an asset) along with any coding knowledge.
  • Good presenting skills to relay information understandably - storytelling with a report analysis.
  • Self-driven and work well in a macro management environment.
  • Knows how to identify anomalies in large amounts of data.
  • Strong computer skills and are comfortable using MS Windows applications, and financial and maintenance management software.
