As a Lead Field Service Technician- Security here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to lead and oversee our Security Field Service team, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery to our customers. Your technical expertise and leadership skills will play a crucial role in driving customer satisfaction and business growth in the Security business unit.

You will report directly to our Sr Field Service Supervisor and you'll work out of our Markham, ON location.

In this role, you will impact the success of our Security Field Service operations, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be able to work independently onsite on Security (Access, CCTV) contracts as a Honeywell representative with daily responsibilities including preventive maintenance
  • Manage, coordinate, and deliver small projects with minimal supervision
  • Work with Service Manager to Maximize Service Jobs revenues
  • Understand Honeywell contracts with (Security) and be able to clearly articulate it
  • Ability to escalate items to drive solutions
  • Provide support to Sales/Estimation Team for quoting new opportunities on Security jobs
  • Be technically strong to provide solution design and commissioning on Security Systems as key deliverables
  • Supports and incorporates a continuous quality improvement philosophy that encourages innovation, cooperation, and teamwork
  • Coordinate Honeywell resources on site to maximize productivity and adherence to contract performance objectives
  • Help in Honeywell team technical development by providing training and sharing knowledge with junior technicians.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within technical or business field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with security system - CCTV and Access Control experience
  • Post-Secondary education in an engineering or technical field
  • Immunization (including COVID-19 vaccination) as required by the customer and in accordance with the Public Health Act.
  • Able to work after hours to attend urgent calls on a rotational basis on call
  • G driver's license

WE VALUE

  • Experience on Fire Systems will be an added advantage.
  • Training/Certification on Honeywell software programming tools.
  • Training/Certification on Networking protocols and products.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to use tools and test equipment.
  • Previous industry experience
  • Self motivated individual with good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to recognize and sell system enhancements
  • Previous technical/installation experience
  • Previous customer service experience.
