At the Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI), we provide highly specialized trauma-informed developmental and mental health and services. These services include assessment, consultation, treatment, research and education. We work with local community services, building on what they have already done and use evidence-based practices to adapt our approach to the unique needs of each child.
You will support the expansion of the Child and Parent Resource Institute education profile as a provincial resource in children's developmental and mental health education.

What can I expect to do in this role?
As an E-Learning Trainer and Developer, you will:
• facilitate training programs to adult learners in a group classroom setting or online • use instructional design principles to develop adult education training packages • keep up-to-date with relevant systems, software and technology capabilities • implement online course content/learning solutions using various web-based technologies
How do I qualify?
Organizational, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
• You have organizational skills to work within tight deadlines and undertake multi-task assignments. • You have analytical and problem-solving skills to identify appropriate strategies and resources for student and program evaluation. • You can provide technical support for technology-assisted training platforms including trouble shooting and coordinating technology improvements.
Computer Skills
• You have knowledge of office technology and computer software such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Adobe. • You have knowledge of Ontario Internet Style Guide and WWW Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Guidelines. • You have knowledge in developing and maintaining websites, systems, modules and application programming specifications. • You can design prototypes and conduct user acceptance testing. • You can customize website development and conduct site interface, functionality and navigation testing.
Technical Knowledge
• You have knowledge of children's mental health concepts and related services, resources, policies, programs and barriers that will inform education and training. • You have knowledge of communications theory, methods, techniques and practices. • You have knowledge of adult education theory, practices, principles and techniques to develop training documents and courses. • You have knowledge of technology platforms used in training and education for synchronous and asynchronous methods of delivery including webinars, virtual classrooms, online/eLearning platforms.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• You have oral and written communication skills to conduct presentations and prepare correspondence for internal and external stakeholders. • You can prepare training documents. • You can exercise tact and discretion when responding to inquiries over the phone, in-person and in writing. • You have interpersonal skills to work with others and consult with internal and external subject matter experts.
Research and Project Management Skills
• You have research methodologies to design, plan and analyze training strategies. • You have knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis to analyze and evaluate research data and information. • You have knowledge of project management principles and techniques.
