Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand their data and reporting requirements.
• Design, develop, and deploy BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data models.
• Transform raw data into meaningful insights by creating calculated columns, measures, and DAX expressions.
• Cleanse and prepare data for analysis, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Build interactive visualizations and reports that effectively communicate complex data.
• Optimize BI solutions for performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain data models to support self-service analytics and ad-hoc reporting.
• Collaborate with data engineers and database administrators to ensure data availability and integrity.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data in reports and dashboards.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decision-making.
• Monitor and troubleshoot BI solutions, resolving issues and optimizing performance.
• Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features, updates, and best practices.
• Create and maintain documentation, including data sources, models, and report specifications.
• Collaborate with the IT team and business stakeholders to define data governance policies and standards.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of queries and data retrieval.
• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of reports.
• Conduct user acceptance testing and gather feedback to improve reporting solutions.
• Identify opportunities to enhance data visualization and reporting capabilities.
• Continuously analyze user requirements and business processes to propose new insights and enhancements.

Education/Background Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and its various components.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Azure or AWS, is advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in creating visually appealing and interactive reports and dashboards.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and data warehouse architecture.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Familiarity with data visualization best practices and compelling data storytelling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience with data governance and data security principles.
• Familiarity with data integration techniques and tools.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business needs into actionable insights.
• Knowledge of other business intelligence tools, such as Tableau or QlikView, is a plus.
• Experience with data analytics and data mining techniques is beneficial.
• Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R is a plus.
• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Microsoft Certified: Power BI, are preferred.
