As a Senior Advanced Cybersecurity Architect/Engineer at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing sophisticated cybersecurity solutions across the Honeywell Satellite Communications portfolio. You will leverage your experience and technical expertise to develop strategic security architectures that protect critical systems, enhance operational resilience, and ensure compliance with industry standards.


You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and work out of our Kanata location on a hybrid work schedule.



Key Responsibilities

  • Architectural Design: Develop and propose advanced cybersecurity architectures and frameworks that address the unique security challenges faced by our clients in various industries.
  • Project Leadership: Lead the technical aspects of cybersecurity projects, ensuring that solutions are implemented in alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to assess security needs, design solutions, and ensure that project objectives are met.
  • Cybersecurity Assessments: Conduct in-depth security assessments and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities, recommend enhancements, and guide remediation efforts.
  • Technology Implementation: Oversee the deployment of industry-leading cybersecurity technologies and solutions, ensuring effective integration within existing systems and infrastructures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in cybersecurity, contributing to the evolution of Honeywell's security capabilities and development of innovative solutions.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure all cybersecurity architectures comply with applicable regulations, standards, and best practices, and prepare technical documentation and reports.

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.


YOU MUST HAVE

  • 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, design, and engineering across various sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time, typically less than 10% (and able to travel to the USA)

  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development in the cybersecurity and technical fields through certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Fortinet NSE7 - Network Security Architect, Cisco certifications (CCDP, CCNP, CCNA), and other relevant security certifications.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of advanced cybersecurity technologies, methodologies, and frameworks, including network security, application security, and compliance standards.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to analyze security risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement effective security controls.
