Who we're looking for:

  • Serve as a cyber security advisor to the various lines of businesses by providing support to the subject matter experts as it relates to services, products, and projects.
  • Monitor the Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) used by adversaries by analyzing raw intelligence and data.
  • Identify cyber threats, trends, and new developments on various predetermined cyber security topics by analyzing raw intelligence and data.
  • Provide and assist with finished intelligence analysis to internal teams through written reporting with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate across teams to brief on Intelligence about activity of interest and to coordinate adversary/campaign tracking.
  • Ability to produce quality finished intelligence reports for short deadlines, as well as continuing to maintain analysis for and report on long term strategic assessments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, for delivery briefings to varied audiences of technical, operational, and senior staff.
  • Participate in the security risk assessment of applications, infrastructure, business processes and external suppliers.
  • Analyze business needs against security and provide risk-based recommendations to enhance systems security.
  • Research cyber security industry publications and whitepapers to collect key statistics and relevant information to be used towards supporting strategy, planning, and other cyber security activities.
  • Liaise with and support internal teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and trusted external parties to facilitate two-way information sharing.
  • Use of MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain methodologies, effectively to determine risk prioritized response, investigate security events, and make clear recommendations on mitigation.
  • Investigation of security events with participation in root cause analysis, tracking and reporting of events.
  • Expected to take on future team lead/leadership accountabilities.


What you bring:

  • 1-3 years + applied cyber security and technical experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Management, or certification related to Cyber Security.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills
  • Knowledge in ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain & Cyber Threat Intelligence Framework is an asset.
  • Understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity, ATT&CK, OWASP) and risk management methodologies.
  • Participation in threat intelligence, threat hunting, computer network defense, and incident response activities an asset.
  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Knowledge of JSON, Python, and Scripting will be an asset.
  • Experience with developing metrics, KRIs and KPIs and generating reports for senior staff.
  • Experience with conducting research, analyzing, and interpreting data from multiple sources, documenting the insights and results to be able to provide meaningful reports, briefings, and trends.
  • Monitor for threats, apply critical thinking to develop insights.
  • Experience working in a project setting which can include planning, coordination, and status reporting activities.
  • Previous experience in the IT industry and broad cyber security is an asset.
  • Ability to work with teams and independently to achieve goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated individual with a 'can do' attitude and a desire for continuous process improvement and learning.
